Secret Garden
Technique: Thin Paper Carving
18.8 in x 21.6 in (48 cm x 55 cm)
The garden is formed by attaching with natural glue different kinds of tree, floral and animal motifs cut in single- or multiple-layers out of natural-ink-dyed papers with special cutting tools in the Thin Paper Cutting technique. The Rumi Pattern encircling the garden is adapted from a work dating back to 1831 being cut as a single piece out of a whole paper, and the dots out of 24-carat gold are cut and glued.
