Marbling
All of the materials used in marbling art are obtained from nature. Marbling starts with the dissolution of ‘carrageen’, which is a plant species that grows on the reefs of the coasts of Atlantic Ocean, United Kingdom, Scotland and Ireland. Carrageen gives water its viscosity. After filling the tray with this liquid, the earth-based dyes are splashed on the surface and with the help of special tools, the patters are formed across water’s surface. In order to design, a paper is laid on top of the tray. Then next step is to remove paper gently and left it to dry.
